Hi! My name is Angharad. I'm PFB's Operational Manager.

I make sure our staff are doing their jobs right and that they are happy at People First Bridgend.

I make sure People First Bridgend is doing the right activities and the right amount.

​

I manage People First Bridgend's money.

​

I report to the Board of Trustees.

Karen Rees

Independent Proffesional Advocate

Hello! My name is Karen. I'm PFB's Independent Professional Advocate (IPA).

​

I make sure people are included in decisions about their care and support. I make sure people can understand and are understood by others.

 

I help people to speak-up, and if they can't, I speak-up on their behalf.

​

An independent advocate is on your side only, not anyone else's.

 

They help you stay in control of your life

 

I can advocate for people in lots of situations. This can be issues with their health and social care, or other issues where they need help to have a voice.

Paul Gingell

Advocacy Coordinator

Hello! My name is Paul and I'm PFB's Advocacy Coordinator.

​

I make sure people know about PFB, what we do, and how to be part of our self-advocacy group.

​

I coordinate and facilitate our self-advocacy group and support members in local and regional development work. I support all self-advocacy activities across the organisation. 

​

I look for important topics and bring guest speakers to our self-advocacy group. This is to make sure our members are well informed and have their voice heard in issues that matter to them.

​

I do lots of behind-the-scenes work to make sure our groups are run well, like doing Easy Read, arranging visits, and working in partnership with lots of other organisations

​

Hi! My name's Molly and I'm PFB's Self Advocacy Support Officer. I help our Advisory Team members take part in meetings, events, and activities, making sure they have the support they need to be heard.

 

I organise meetings, respond to enquiries, and create accessible materials so everyone can share their voice and make a real difference in Bridgend.

I also manage PFB's social media and website.
